February 1990 Marras Workshop released the Pekka Bäckman &
Marras debute LP Willa ma Fella,
which was soon
followed by the second LP Times of
Confession And Desperate Love, November

Since 2009 the public has had a chance to get familiar with the Marras music through a compilation of twelve remastered songs downloadable on the internet, This is Chamberfolk!
In the 1990's and 2000's Pekka Bäckman has had activities among record and book publishing, puppet theatre and circus, stone sculpting, graphic design and, obviously, music in all of its forms.
After nearly two decades of silence Pekka Bäckman & Marras returns with a collection of new songs composed to the poetry of Edgar Allan Poe (1809-1849).

Along with the CD album release there will be a sheet music booklet published, consisting of 12 romantic Lieder for voice and piano accompaniment, see manuscript samples below.
Both items will be released and a series of concerts will take place in August 2010.
